Rating
I have had my tv for 1 week now, and have no complaints with this product. I upraded from a Sony rear projection, and the difference is incredible. I did LOTS of research and waffling before finally settling on this TV. I was debating between the Sony XBR9, Samsung UN46C6500 and the UN46C7000. I finally settled on this set because of the brightness, picture quality and a bit of future-proofing with the 3D feature. I have read several reviews saying that the sound is poor, which is maybe going too far. The sound is better than you SHOULD expect from a TV this thin. And honestly, most people buying a $2K+ tv are using a home theater of some sort anyway. Buy this TV for picture clarity and quality. The blacks are very "inky" and the whites are ultra-white. There are lots of audio and video adjustments on the TV allowing you to fine tune if you want to. The remote seems very high quality also. Brushed stainless look with backlighting is as aestetically pleasing as any remote I have seen. As others have noted, dont plan on using the wifi adaptor (sold seperate) with an Apple Airport router, but the wired ethernet works fine for the apps and widgets, which work well. I would rate the 3D higher, but there is almost no content available at this time. There is only 1 movie available at retail, and less than 5 currently slated for release this year. To make matters worse, the various 3D manufacturers are trying to get exclusive bundle rights to the few movies that are rumored for release (panasonic and Avatar, Sony and Alice and Wonderland, etc). I would definately reccomend this to a friend, and have enjoyed the 3D movies that I have watched (Monsters vs Aliens & Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). Go for it!

Rating
Overview: After about a week of using these with my UN55C8000, I'll have to admit they haven't gotten much use. As to the quality of these shutter glasses though, I must say they're pretty good and definitely more comfortable than the battery operated glasses offered by Samsung I tried out at best buy.

Comfortability: Fairly comfortable, considering I've never worn glasses or shades for more than an hour. They're not too hard to get used to. They also seem like they would fit nicely around current existing eyeglasses (a huge bonus for people who need to wear glasses all the time), but I have no real way to test that. Also, would really only fit nicely if your current eyeglasses are rather minimalist (not huge and flashy).

Fashionable: Not fashionable at all but it's not really a huge issue since you won't be going anywhere with them (aside from into (and out of?) the depths of your TV, I suppose).

Quality: Well made, they come with a cleaning felt, a carrying case, and a mini-usb to USB cord for charging. The frame sits a little bit off your face and slightly obstructs peripheral vision but, then again, you're only looking at your TV.

Even though I haven't gotten much use out of them (due to lack of 3D content), I'm glad I chose buying two of these over the starter kit even if I missed out on a free BR player and movie.

current deal: 3dtv + starter kit (2 battery operated glasses and 3d movie) + BR player is roughly the equivalent price of 3dtv + 2 rechargeable 3d glasses, but I think in the long run I'll be fine using my PS3 for BR content and enjoying the quality of these glasses over the battery operated ones.

Rating
I was looking at an LCD 3D TV but didn't like the price compared to a closely sized Plasma version. After researching the picture quality between LCD and plasma formats, I am convinced that the plasma is by far a better picture. There is far less pixelization with the plasma and the picture is smoother and more lucid. The contrast ratio is 5,000,000:1. I don't think that is attainable with an LCD. In general, this is a GREAT TV. The Amazon price is a steal compared to buying it at Bestbuy. Not having to fork out $90 in Maryland sales tax to our thief Governor gave me even greater satisfaction.

In regards to this buzzing sound, either I'm deaf (I lost my hearing the day I got married) or there is no buzzing sound. I'm using the TV speakers and maybe this buzzing sound stems from those people who are amplifying their audio through external speakers. Could be feedback or just bad cables/ connections. The only drawback I have about this TV is all the connections are on the far left edge of the TV panel, not the rear. Since all my peripherals are to the right of the TV I had to purchase longer cables. Not a big deal though I've seen people give bad ratings for reasons like this. Just because they're technically-challenged is no reason to give a TV a bad review.

A few other things...

For the wireless USB adapter you do not need to use a Samsung brand network adapter. My Linksys wireless-N (WUSB600N model) works with this TV. Be careful in setting up your wireless network adapter. If you use a NON Samsung adapter DO NOT enable the 'Samsung Wireless Link" in the network settings menu. I accidentally enabled this setting and, for some reason, could not disable it after it recognized the Linksys Adapter. Apparently, this is a software glitch that may be corrected in a future firmware upgrade. I had a "painless" chat session with a samsung representative and the only way to correct the problem is to re-set the TV back to it's original manufacturer settings. You won't find these instructions in the Owners Manual. If you ever need to do this, hold down the "Exit" button for 20 seconds while pointing it at the TV.

Finally.....the 3D. This TV upconverts any 2D broadcast into 3D simply by pressing the "3D" button. This is simulated 3D, not true 3D, but there is a noticeable dimensional effect. It's nice but it's more of a novelty and I find that I'm not reaching for those 3D glasses as often as I used to.

Rating
After a few weeks of research I finally settled on the Samsung UN46C7000. At the time it was about $250 cheaper on Amazon.com than in any local business that and for whatever reason Wal Mart, Best Buy, etc... did not carry the 46 inch TVs, it was either 40 or 55. Also at the time Amazon.com was running a promo to get a free 3D Blu Ray player and starter kit (worth around $700-800) with the purchase of the TV. I received the TV after about 10 days, there was a mix up with the local carrier that when I called to question the status of the delivery, they told me they were waiting for me to call them to schedule delivery.

The first thing you notice when you take it out of the box is it is super thin and light. This TV is easily lighter than the older LCD 40 inch Samsung I had bought my parents. I could move and mount it by myself if needed, but I don't recommend that. Setup was easy, most of everything is just plug and play. However for everything that is not HDMI (VGA or CAT5 cables for example) the TV requires a special adapter for, which are all included. I assume this is to keep the slimness of the TV.

The picture quality is amazing. If you are watching a Blu Ray it will look as if you're looking through a window and not a TV. Some of my friends however have complained that it looks "too real" and it looks like you're watching "the making of" instead of the actual movie itself. It does take a bit to get used to, but once I adjusted to the "realness" I love it. The auto motion 240hz feature makes everything incredibly smooth, you can turn the feature on or off in case you don't like the "real life" look.

The 3D aspects of the TV are stunning. I have only viewed Monsters vs Aliens 3D and some of the Playstation 3's 3D demos. It really does look like things are reaching out at you. The TV also has a 2D to 3D conversion, this will not make things pop out at you, but it will add a lot of depth to what you are viewing, as if you could stick your hand into the TV. However, you need the glasses in order to view it. Everyone watching will need a pair because watching it without the glasses things are very blurry and it can strain your eyes.

The Sound on the TV I can't say much about, they're good for TV speakers but you can't get a TV like this and use the default speakers, some sort of surround sound set up is a must. I personally use the Samsung HT-Z522 Home Theater System and it makes for an awesome in home movie experience.

The TV stand is solid, I have used it and another mounting system. The TV is light enough I would be comfortable wall mounting it if I wanted too. I currently have the TV mounting on a swivel on the Bell'O TPC2127 Triple Play Universal Flat Panel Audio Video System with Swivel Mount. The remote is a very nice looking remote and and super easy to navigate. There is a button to back light all of the buttons, and it works as an on/off switch. (It will stay lit until you turn it off)

The images from 3D Blueray movies are awesome. Nevertheless, the 2D to 3D conversion is not to good but it is ok. I did watch the final world cup in 3D, it was very very cool.

Excellent picture, nice and thin, a little pricey but I love it.

Now I know what all the fuss is all about with HD Tv.

Rating
I've had this TV for about 3 weeks now and all I can say is - Awesome!
Samsung must have fixed the issues some people mention because I do not see any bleeding light. I did a firmware update when I got the TV.

I bought an HD calibration DVD to set the picture and after I did that the picture is incredible. The default settings will kill your eyes.

The 3d movies look great and are fun to watch. I have played a few games on the PS3 in 3d and those look good and seeing the depth in games is actually great, I imagine Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3 in 3d will be insane!

The TVs internet connectivity is really cool too, I stream netflix directly from the TV. I can also connect any Hard drive to the TV (or use a wifi media center) to play all my media -- really nice feature.

If your looking for a TV and can get the bundle set from Amazon with the blue-ray player, 2 glasses, a movie AND free shipping --- get it!

No regrets with this TV at all

Rating
I have been researching 3r plasmas for about 3 months. This has to be the best picture quality I have ever seen. I was debating between 3 3d plasmas. Panasonic v25, samsung pn50c7000 or 8000. Even the 7000 got an excellent rating on cnet. what kept it from getting a perfect rating is featured on the 8000. I consider myself a serious videophile and this one does not disapoint. The main diffrence between to 7000 and 8000 is fine tuing of color. and motion judder canceller. This tv has a 2,000,000 to 1 higher contrast ratio. For the price compared to the panasonic it is far better. More apps, and on par picture quality. I have this TV calibrated providing a incredible picture. these settings are below. Do not hesitate to buy this TV.

The picture quality is awesome. I could actually see the pores on a person's face when I'm watching the news.

Rating
I read a few reviews on here before I bought this tv from sears. I didn't hear any buzz from the display model or the one I bought. I hooked it up to my hd receiver and no problems. I do a lot of gaming and the 600 hz refresh rate is nice. The only problem is sitting too close because it is such a large screen it gets tiring quick looking around so fast. But it is a whole new world of HD gaming. I haven't tried 3D for games yet but that's next. One thing I really like is that this doesn't get hot at all. I felt it in the store after it was running for 12 hrs and it was just warm. Not as hot as my LCD gets.
